NEW TO THE TURMERIC HYPE

When cooking healthy snacks, you often deprive the taste and go for health benefits. It is the perfect combination between ingredients that makes you excel in recipes like this one.

I always use the kitchen when I want to make recipes that satisfy mi diet restrictions. I have been wheat and milk intolerance for quite some time however; lately, I have tried to stay away from processed sugar. I also stayed away from honey or brown sugar as well.

The injury made mu turn my attention towards healthier (healthier than before) eating. Also the fact that I was to be resting for 6+ months, I had to make a huge impacto on my diet to avoid gaining weight. I wasn't so much concerned on scale weight, but I knew, if I wanted to give myself the best chances for a great comeback, I didn't want to go through the struggle of having to lose that much weight.

Staying away from processed sugar as much as I can helps tons. And you have probably head this before. But its true. It changes your appetite. You start craving healthier and healthier foods. And if it happens for you to sin one day, you start feeling physically like crap. Hence, you become more alert on how poisonous refined and process sugar is.

Eating healthy doesn't mean that you will stop craving sweets every now and then, that is why I have succumbed to the kitchen. I want to make sure that if I give my body the sweet temptation it has to be made by me.

This recipe is super easy, otherwise I wouldn't even bother. It toke 10 minutes to make everything from scratch.

This is the final result. The turmeric gives them a bit of a yellowish look to it. The taste is a bit tangy, but I feels amazing in the tummy.

  • 12 seedless dates

  • 1 cup of oats

  • 1/2 cup of cashews.

After making, place them on a glass supper (NO PLASTIC PLEASE!) and refrigerate overnight.

Let me know you thoughts.

INGREDIENTES:

  • 12 dátiles sin hueso

  • 1 taza de avena

  • 1/2 taza de anacardo crudos

  • 2-3 cucharas soperas de semillas de chia

  • 4-5 cucharadas soperas de jugo fresco de limón

  • 1 cuchara sopera de cúrcuma granulado.

  • 1 cuchara sopera de limon rallado

Pues nada, al lío! Ya me contaréis si os atrevéis a hacerlas o no!
